# Account type conversion and plugin monetization

Hello,
I have a non-trader account.
Is it possible to convert it into a trader account?
(or) Can I create a second account, preferably with the same email address (Gmail) and the same JetBrains products account? (I have the All Products Pack subscription)
Does a trader account require me to run a business in my country (Poland)?
Can I initially publish a paid plugin using a non-trader account, as long as it’s not my main source of income?

Hello,
Yes, it is possible to change your status from non-trader to trader (or vice versa), as your activity may change over time. However, transitioning from _trader_ to _non-trader_ requires submitting a request to [marketplace@jetbrains.com](mailto:marketplace@jetbrains.com).
Regarding the creation of a second account, we strongly advise against it, as it may lead to confusion. It is not permitted to hold both trader and non-trader statuses simultaneously. Therefore, maintaining two separate accounts for this purpose could be considered a violation of our policies. Please use a single account that accurately reflects your current status.
Please note that the law does not require you to have a formally registered business to be considered a trader. For this reason, we distinguish between two types of traders: **Legal Entity** and **Individual**. You can find more details on who classifies as traders [here](https://plugins.jetbrains.com/docs/marketplace/trader-status.html#examples).
In short, you are considered a _trader_ if you are conducting commercial activity—such as selling a paid plugin. That is why you must have _trader_ status and [complete verification](https://plugins.jetbrains.com/docs/marketplace/trader-status.html#information-you-need-to-provide) before you can begin selling plugins on our platform.
