# 'Import Module from Existing Sources' action is running indefinitely and does not complete

Hi Team,

I noticed an issue while testing the **“Import Module from Existing Sources”** action in **IntelliJ IDEA 2026.2.2** and **2026.2.3**. and wanted to check whether this is a known issue or if anyone else has observed the same behaviour.

After opening a project, a toast notification may appear in the bottom-right corner asking whether to load the project as Maven or Gradle. Without taking any action on that notification, I open **Search Everywhere** , run **“Import Module from Existing Sources”** , select the `pom.xml` file, and click **OK**. The **“Reading Maven Projects…”** window appears and the Maven project seems to be imported successfully. However, the **“Reading Maven Projects…”** window never closes and continues running indefinitely.

I have observed this issue on both **macOS** and **Linux**

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there any known resolution, workaround?
