Hello,

I am currently writing a plugin for InteliJ Idea, that–amongst other things–needs to be able to indicate to the user that a breakpoint has been created/removed (this plugin is geared towards blind and visually impaired users). I have implemented the BreakpointListener, but I need to be able to attach it to the BreakpointManager, but the method addBreakpointListener requires an XBreakpointType object, of which I do not know how to obtain, given that I do not need to create my own type of breakpoint. So my main questions are:

1. How can I obtain an XBreakpointType object?

2. Is there another way that this can be accomplished? If so, what would that be?

3. Can this be done in a way that is language-agnostic? My goal is that this works with all (or most) of the major JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, Rider, CLion, PyCharm, etc).

4. If this cannot be done in a way that is language-agnostic, what can options are available?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have a nice day.
