We’ve published a blog post about open-sourcing the LSP client API for IntelliJ-based IDEs.
It covers what changes for plugin authors, the API rename toward client/integration terminology, and the plan to make the work available not only in 2026.2, but also in the 2026.1.4 stable build.
This should also help with Android Studio support, which we’re working on together with the Google team.
