It would be useful and interesting to get an updated list of IDE versions in use:

(Or am I missing a new read out of these statistics hosted elsewhere?)

While we are waiting for update in docs, you can use the following numbers:

for IntelliJ IDEA in June 2026:

  • 2026.1 - 36.7%
  • 2025.3 - 16.7%
  • 2025.2 - 13.5%
  • 2025.1 - 9.1%

for Rider in June 2026:

  • 2026.1 - 57.6%
  • 2025.3 - 22.4%
  • 2025.2 - 7.0%
  • 2025.1 - 6.1%

for PhpStorm in June 2026:

  • 2026.1 - 48.3%
  • 2025.3 - 15.7%
  • 2025.2 - 9.3%
  • 2025.1 - 6.2%

Traditionally, Summer is somewhat dead season for IDE updates, people most likely will mass update in September
