Can I store application settings per EelMachine?

I use local application settings to store paths.
Because these paths are only valid on the local machine, they are configured to not share (i.e. to be non-roaming).

I’m migrating to Eel.
Now, what is the best way to handle such per-machine settings?

  • Converting to project settings would force to user to set this up for every project. I don’t want that.
  • Project settings may end up in VCS. I don’t want that. A path of one machine won’t be valid for other users.
  • Application settings are stored outside the Eel machine and would apply to other projects, which are located on the local machine or in other EelMachine containers.

Is there a way to store application settings per EelMachine?

Or I there another solution I’m missing here?

Update: After some investigation I found PyCustomExecutablePaths which is similar to what I want.
But it’s using the @Internal property EelMachine.internalName which makes it impossible to use for 3rd-party plugins :pensive_face:
