Just curious, if you didn’t get the one-star removed, does this comment keep appearing (e.g. a second one gets posted, then a third, etc). I wonder if you just left it for a long period of time if it would get “buried” among other 4 or 5 star reviews and eventually disappear from the main plug-in review page. By having it removed and letting the comment keep reappearing (e.g. they keep re-posting it), it essentially keeps becoming the “freshest” comment/review that people see.
Btw, I’m totally with you re the harassment stuff, but I’m just thinking if there is maybe a different way to handle it until JetBrains implements a system where this might not be possible.
The report for this specific review is still under review. It doesn’t seem to be in violation with our Content Moderation policy. I’m waiting the final decision from our legal team.
@jonathanlermitage.1 how do you validate the user is using a crack? could you provide an article about your license validations? I’m suspecting that about some of my plugins but I don’t know what to do. Thanks a lot.
I think an article would be a bad thing, because it may give important hints to crack developers. Also, I would have to give the name or the url of some cracks. I don’ think JetBrains would appreciate that (me either).
Meanwhile, I would be pleased to discuss this in private
