I would like to convert my existing JetBrains Marketplace account from non-trader to trader status so I can sell paid plugins.
From a technical standpoint, where exactly can I initiate this conversion? I’ve been looking at https://plugins.jetbrains.com/author/me but I don’t see any option or link to switch to trader status or enter business/tax information.
Could you please point me to the correct page or steps to complete this transition?
I see “Create new Vendor” button. Can I have more than one vendor for account?
Create Vendor
You already have a vendor and can continue the uploading process.
But if you’d like to upload the plugin under a new vendor, you can create it below.
Public Vendor Name
Enter the name you want to be publicly displayed on the Marketplace, such as your brand name, or another name recognizable to your users
Vendor ID
ID is required
Used to create your custom URL, e.g. plugins.jetbrains.com/vendor/JetBrains, where JetBrains is a Vendor ID
Vendor Status
Depending on the status you declare, consumers will be informed if EU consumer protection laws apply. Learn more.
Non-trader
Plugin distribution outside of your trade, business, craft, or profession.
Trader
Plugin distribution relating to your trade, business, craft, or profession.
The law requires us to collect and verify certain details about traders offering their plugins on JetBrains Marketplace. Please note that some of this information, such as your name, email, address, and phone number, will be displayed to other users.
My doubts:
Public Vendor Name – This is the name displayed to end customers ?
Vendor ID – This appears to be a short, single-word identifier rather than the full organization name.
