Lifetime licenses & fraud

I have a question regarding the licensing of plugins offering lifetime licenses.

β†’ Some of my plugins offer lifetime licenses, and I would like to know if there is a way to prevent users from purchasing a lifetime license and then (massively) sharing the offline activation with other users.

I already implemented some protections against cracks like jetbra-netfilter (and I intercept many attempts), but, as lifetime licenses are relatively new, is there any protection that prevents malicious users from sharing offline activation codes for lifetime licenses?

I already asked this question in https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/MP-8098/Lifetime-licenses-fraud (it’s private), without response.

Thx

JetBrains could consider limiting offline activation concurrency for plugin/IDE licenses, as a reasonable user would only activate a limited number of devices at the same time.

Yeah, this is why I’m asking this question.
I also opened https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/CPRTINF-5521/Prevent-the-use-of-illegal-license-keys on Dec 1, 2025 (private issue), and still zero answer. At least, some feedback or some advice would be appreciated.
