I’m developing/maintaining a plugin that integrates code review by using all the good stuff collaboration-tools offer.
I follow what Github and Gitlab plugins uses (from the community repo) in order to understand what APIs to use and how to implement.
In Github/Gitlab plugin, in order to enable the “next comment”/“previous comment” navigation tools, it implements the CodeReviewNavigableEditorViewModel.
Is there an public API can use to have matching UI and behavior?
Is there a plan to make CodeReviewNavigableEditorViewModel public like CodeReviewEditorModel, CodeReviewCommentableEditorModel?
Had to put the class name with spaces because it is not accepted as single word.
Don’t think so, you probably should introduce your own UI. UI is very bad as API and we prefer not exposing it. It is impossible to maintain any kind of stability for it as we want to redesign it following our product needs
Ok, thanks. You would say I better detach myself from collaboration-tools API?
My plugin does have something like 1200 experimental API usage count, most of it is from collaboration-tools.
But I really want to use it since… well it’s there and enables to match the UI with IDE effortlessly (meaning I don’t have to build by the UI by myself and attempt to fine-tune until it matches). It also offers the HttpApiHelper and other abstractions that takes away the need to setup my own http client.
