Urgent: Liberty Tools plugin reports unresolved dependency on com.redhat.devtools.lsp4ij in IntelliJ

Hi JetBrains team,

We’re currently preparing for an upcoming release of the Liberty Tools plugin, and we’ve encountered a critical issue during compatibility testing with IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate and Community editions.

The plugin fails to load due to a missing dependency:

Liberty Tools 25.0.1-SNAPSHOT depends on plugin com.redhat.devtools.lsp4ij that couldn’t be resolved with respect to IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate.

We’ve been using the com.redhat.devtools.lsp4ij plugin as a core dependency for several months without issues across earlier IntelliJ versions. This plugin is typically installed automatically when Liberty Tools is installed.

I would like to add some more information. Looking at the current Liberty Tools release, version 24.0.12, we are now seeing the same “Critical” result shared above when re-running the plugin verifier. We have not seen this result before with 24.0.12 and the release has not been updated in any way. Previous scans with the Verifier versions 1.381, 1.382, and 1.383 all resulted in a non “Critical” status. Verifier version 1.386 consistently returns the same “Critical” status, even against IntelliJ versions that have already been scanned and verified to be compatible with the 24.0.12 release.
