Bringing Google ADK and Gemini Agent Workflows to IntelliJ Community & Android Studio

Hello everyone,

With the massive focus on the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK 1.0) at Google I/O, many Java/Kotlin developers are looking to build persona-driven workflows and multi-agent hierarchies directly inside their IDEs.

However, heavy enterprise AI plugins often bog down indexing speeds or require a paid IntelliJ Ultimate environment.

I created Java ADK Assistant to bridge this gap. It is optimized explicitly for Android Studio and IntelliJ Community Edition. It allows you to rapidly build, debug, and connect tools within the Java ADK framework using Gemini Free, while remaining light enough to run cleanly alongside your standard local build emulators.

It’s available now on the marketplace under a freemium model. I’d highly appreciate any feedback regarding performance or custom Java tool binding!

Folks this isa sad way to present a plugin, your only screenshot is a photo of a screen

*“Hi Yuriy, thank you so much for taking the time to look at the plugin and for the honest feedback! You are completely right—the initial presentation didn’t do the tool justice. I will update the post/listing with clean, high-resolution digital screenshots showing the actual UI layout, multimodal file uploads, and Gemini agent configurations. Appreciate you helping me raise the standard!”*
