While there are plenty of generic AI assistants out there, many of them lack deep contextual awareness when dealing with modern Java frameworks and Google’s tooling ecosystems. They either give overly verbose code or lose track of project structure.
To fix this, I built Java ADK Assistant—the first-ever dedicated plugin leveraging Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Gemini models natively inside IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio.
