Will it be possible to create tags ? E.g. swing, gradle plugin, verifier, marketplace, documentation, etc.

Oh I see there are sub-categories. But not everything is covered.

Technically, we can have both – categories and tags. However, it’d be unwise to let tags be created at will.

What are you currently missing in the categories structure? What tags would be helpful to you?

I understand the point, but from blank this is a quick way to enable organization from plugin authors.

I think the firsts that come to mind is swing and documentation. But maybe there could be finer grained labels / tag that make sense as well.

E.g. by IJP susbsystems like,

  • editor
  • indexing
  • highlighting
  • inlay
  • code vision
  • remote development
  • inspections
  • intentions
  • internationalization
  • run configurations
  • kotlin ui dsl
  • jcef
  • workspace (for the new workspace model)

Just to name a few. I’m sure other plugin authors could contribute to such a list.

Got it! I’ve introduced all the tags you mentioned but also enabled the possibility of creating custom ones. Let’s see how that’d go!

Also it would be great to have tags by programming languages (php / go / java / js / etc) and editors (phpstorm / goland / idea / clion / fleet / etc)
